Work Hours

Our normal workdays are Monday through Sunday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Our call center is open from 9:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M Monday to Friday.  We do work from a schedule and recommend the same time and weekday for your cleaning, to create consistency and convenience for us both.
Saturdays and Sundays are available for move-outs and one-offs upon special request and different rates apply.

Special or Miscellaneous Projects

We work by the hour, so miscellaneous projects are welcome. Simply email or text us with your special requests so we can budget them into our regular work routine. If we have to trade off – skip a room of your house in order to accommodate the special project, let us know which room(s) you are trading for in advance (24 to 48 hours before your scheduled cleaning).  The reason we need advance warning is that we may or may not be able to accommodate your request due to time constraints.  This also applies to special instructions.  If you send us special instructions the morning of the day of your scheduled cleaning we may not be able to let the team know as our teams read the notes related to each client's home the day before in order to prepare themselves.  We like to work in an organized and efficient manner to maximize our time in your home, therefore please let us know of any changes in advance.

Alarm Systems and Keys

It is not necessary to be at home while we are there cleaning. If you have an alarm, make sure we have the key code so we can disarm the alarm when we arrive, and set it again when we leave. We will need access to your home and we suggest setting a specific code for your cleaning team if you have a door code or garage code.  Codes are the best way to offer access as they can be changed and there is no need to cut keys. However, if you would like to give us a copy of your key we will take care of it.

Rescheduling/Cancellations

Stuff is going to happen. At one point or another — for whatever reason, one of us, you or the team is going to need to reschedule our cleaning. Communication is key. Call, text, or email as soon as you know there is a conflict and we’ll do our best to reschedule your cleaning at the next earliest convenience. We will do the same.
Cancelling now and then is fine as we live in a time that things happen, however, if you are holding a regular spot and you have to cancel regularly we will suggest our booking on demand service we offer. Same day cancellations may result in a cancellation fee. 

Special note:  We reserve the right to cancel on the spot if we find that a house is unsafe or hazardous to work in (i.e. evidence of pests, bugs, extreme heat, obvious  unsafe structural issues, poor working conditions).  If the homeowner or resident has not disclosed pertinent information prior to the appointment, and we have arrived ready to work, we will charge a penalty fee for non-disclosure.

Sick Policy

If you or your children are ill  (i.e. COVID-19, the flu, a cold, pneumonia, chicken pox etc.) please call and reschedule your cleaning. Even though we disinfect your house, it is possible that we might transport germs to the next house or become sick ourselves. And to be fair to all of our customers, we prefer to wait until you are well again. On our end, we may call in sick as well to protect you and your family.

Payment

Paying with a credit cards or eTransfer is secured (and preferred) and leaves an electronic accounting trail for our records. Please send eTransfers to info@happyhomecleaning.ca .   Payment is due the same day as the services were rendered.  Sometimes we may forget to pay because we have other things on our mind so if you need to, please set up the automatic credit card payment option on our secure encrypted payment software to allow for a seamless service and transaction. You may also want to set-up an automatic etransfer to go out the same day as your cleaning.

We aim to please. If for any reason, at any time you are not 100% completely satisfied with the cleaning itself, please call us immediately at 613-714-0494 and we will do everything in our power to resolve your concerns.
